At NJ Vein Care and Aesthetics Center, we primarily use the 1540 fractional nonablative Icon laser by Cynosure® to treat most scars and stretch marks.
This advanced laser delivers precise heat into the dermis without damaging the surface of your skin. The heat breaks up hardened, disordered collagen fibers that give scars their uneven appearance. At the same time, it stimulates your body to produce fresh, healthy collagen in a more organized structure. As your skin remodels itself over the following weeks, texture becomes smoother and tone becomes more even.
We may also incorporate the Procell Microchannelling system, which uses tiny micro-needles to create controlled stimulation and enhance collagen production. Growth factors are applied to support deeper skin regeneration and healing.
