Is Laser Hair Removal Right For Me?

Laser hair removal is an FDA cleared procedure that can give permanent hair loss. The laser light is absorbed by hair follicles and turned into heat, which kills those follicles that are in the growth phase. Since only a small percentage of hair follicles are in the growth phase, multiple treatments are needed. Laser hair removal is more successful for dark, thick hair. Very blonde and grey hair is resistant.

At NJ VeinCare and Aesthetics Center we have two lasers for Laser hair removal. The Nd:YAG laser is safe for any skin type, and an Alexandrite laser for people with lighter skin tones.
